We listen to your interviews very often since it is an honest and a great source of knowledge. Your recent public interviews that explicitly supported direct democracy were great. We are members of an organization that focuses on educating Polish public about direct democracy. We hope that one day sufficient number of people understand direct democracy and that it is possible to manage the country in this way.

We would like to use your recent public interviews in a promotional material for direct democracy. We want to create a video/audio clip that focuses on direct democracy. One of our members is already a subscriber to Trends Journal and he is very positive about your contribution to the society. We would be happy to post on our website an information about you, your work, and your support for direct democracy. In addition, if you make a short general note/statement that focuses primarily on the urgency of the need for direct democracy it will nicely complement the video/audio material we are collecting. For example, you often make statements that the politicians do not represent you/us that they do not know better what is good for you/us and they do not represent the interests of the people. The politicians are leading us to a cliff in many aspects and we have to wake up people and provide them with long term solutions like direct democracy. Please let us know what material we can use that will introduce you and your work so we can properly introduce you and advertise your work. You have at least one already available on your webpage but we do not want to use it without your permission. Can we also use the video/audio available on internet in which you advocate for direct democracy? For example, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFGHfsYJE8Y

It is possible that organisations supporting Direct Democracy in other countries have already picked up on your recent interviews. If not yet then we will distribute our promotional material to other organisations. If yes then feel free to let us know so we could work together in creating a nice promotional material for direct democracy.

bardzo, ale teraz trzeba KONIECZNIE i SZYBKO zrobić opis naszej strony po angielsku

Nie wiem dokładnie, ale The Trends Journal czyta pewnie z kilkaset tysięcy osób. Może się tam znaleźć kilka osób, które w przypływie chęci czynienia czegoś dobrego będzie chciało nas wesprzeć i trzeba ich jakoś (po angielsku) przekonać, że warto!

Ile czasu mamy do kolejnej edycji TrendsJournal?

Robimy tylko wstep/ogolne info z linkami do takich rzeczy jak wsparcie finansowe, kontakt do zarzadu, info ze jestesmy czlonkami Democracy International, etc.

Jak napiszesz po polsku mniej wiecej co chcialbys miec to moge w miare szybko zaproponowac tlumaczenie i potem bedziemz pracowac w wersji angielskiej.

Przy okazji warto się zastanowić, czy te nasze zaproponowane 300 i 150tys podpisów jest, aby na pewno ok. (300tys to ok1%, a 150tys ok 0,5%, czyli o połowe mniej niż jest to w CH*)

@all & Robert: jak i gdzie chcemy umieścić ten tekst? Z regóły ludzie umieszczają u góry taki przełącznik EN/DE/PL... (może też pod START, bo tam będą obcokrajowcy chyba też klikać)

* Liczba uprawnionych do głosowania:
w CH: 5'092'212 (dane za rok 2010)
w PL: 30'833'924 (dane za rok 2011)

Nie tak zrozumiałem wypowiedź Celente. Powiedział przecież tylko, że wspomni o naszej stronie. Dla polaków czytających go to wystarczająca informacja. Po co jeszcze wysyłać mu tekst?

Zrobienie angielskiej wersji naszej strony to gigantyczna praca.
Jeden artykuł po angielsku możemy umieścić obok "Jak możesz pomóc? Zadania" i nazwać go English albo For English.

Nie chodzi o wysłanie mu tekstu, lecz umieszczenie tektu po angielsku na naszej stronie. Jeśli on w swoim żurnalu wspomni o nas, to pewnie jakaś część angielskojęzycznych nas odwiedzi. Pamiętajmy, że w USA jest spora polska polonia, która może już nie mówić po polsku, ale może zechcieć nam wysłać jakieś pieniądze.
Celente nie chcę wysyłać żadnych tekstów.

Przetlumaczylem co bylo napisane po polsku. Nie duzo dodalem od siebie.

Prosze popatrzcie co trzeba jeszcze dodac i trzeba szybko dodac ta strone.

Najprostszym sposobem jest umieszczenie angielskiej flagi w widocznym miejscu takze obcokrajowiec moze
kliknac i przeczytac sobie ten artykul ktory pojawi sie mu po angielsku.

We also believe that direct democracy is the only hope for the world. However, the devil is in the details. Even if the politicians allow some form of direct democracy, we will have to be very careful on the implementation details. For example, in Poland a referendum can be demanded by citizens in the theory, but all the “tiny” details like short time for collecting signatures, quorum, legal obstacles, etc makes it in practice impossible to have a referendum.

Therefore, it is worth to prepare the change into Direct Democracy carefully. We would be happy to recommend some of our very knowledgeable colleagues to any group of people that would like to make changes in their political system in the direction of direct democracy. We recommend three great sources of information:

Initiative and Referendum Institute Europe: http://www.iri-europe.org. He is very much involved in the “direct democratization” in Iceland. He has a huge knowledge on issues of direct democracy and the biggest connections network in the direct democracy community.

The Centre for Democracy Studies (ZDA): http://www.zdaarau.ch/en/index.php (Swiss Swiss think-tank that is also active in Icelandic efforts to introduce Direct Democracy)

Democracy International: http://www.democracy-international.org/ (international network for direct democracy)

Dear Mr. Cibura,

Thanks so much for the offer to help, for your insights and for the links.

I have come to the conclusion that "Representative Democracy" was nothing more than a bone to throw to the people to make them believe that after the aristocracies of the 19th and early 2Oth century's were overthrown, their voices would be heard by voting for members of political parties. In practice, however, the political parties are, and represent, the same interests as the aristocracies.

You will be receiving a free subscription of the Trends Journal. The Summer edition that will be promoting Direct Democracy will be out my mid next week.

Trzeba sie naprawde postarac zeby nastepna kosc ktora sie rzuci ludziom w ramach demokracji bezposredniej byla na tyle duza zeby im politykom sytuacja wymknela sie spod kontroli i mozna bylo z pomoca ludzi wprowadzic dobry system demokracji bezposredniej.

THE DD TREND
Trends are born, grow, mature, reach old age and die. While modern age Direct Democracy (DD) was born in mid-19th-century Switzerland, its success has been confined within that nation’s borders. But seeds are now being sown in other places. DD advocates in Poland, for example, disgusted with “politics as usual” and determined to break free of party chains, have launched a bold and practical initiative. Similar initiatives exist in the UK, Czech Republic, and elsewhere. These incipient movements all recognize the basic need to radically change the system, but to date, they’ve not yet gathered the necessary momentum to galvanize a mass movement.

A Polish Direct Democracy group that we are in contact with emphasizes the need for DD advocates to be “very careful on the implementation of details” to clear the maze of legal, bureaucratic and political hurdles purposely set in place by the agents of “no change.”

They write, “Therefore, it is worthwhile to prepare the change into Direct Democracy carefully. We would be happy to recommend some of our very knowledgeable colleagues to any group of people that would like to make changes in
